Ninth Circuit Court Judge orders first-ever damages for Bush-era wiretapping,

Citing Yoo's "flawed" advice, Judge Walker rules 

the electronic surveillance program illegal. 

(Yoo's 2001 opinion has been repudiated by his 

successors at the Justice Department.)


Plaintiffs' counsel Jon Eisenberg remarks 

"This is quite an indictment of John Yoo."


Judge Vaughn Walker is scheduled to teach a course at Berkeley Law in the spring.
